BIO: With calculating resilience, Cecil Williams has chosen to distinguish himself as an entrepreneur, destined to achieve success.His resilience shines through the various obstacles he has taken with his family to survive. At the age of 13, Williams along with his family were forced to move to The Gambia due to the horrific civil war in his home country Sierra Leone. In the “pursuit of happiness” and vision of creating a more sustainable future, Williams moved to the US four years later, at the age of 18.

Influential, energetic and passionate, Cecil Williams is a social entrepreneur determined to raise awareness about education and other dire social causes that affect underprivileged women and children in impoverished nations he saw firsthand. As the creative mastermind behind Royal Dynamite, Williams has developed a company that fosters social entrepreneurship while facilitating social change by creating an urban clothing line about self-expression and charitable giving.

His entrepreneurial pursuit is in full gear. Since co-creating Royal Dynamite in 2010, he has worked in various capacities as a customer service representative, fashion designer, technology liaison and retail executive. Williams has helped the company create jobs by employing a staff of ten and selling more than 3,000 graphic t-shirts that benefit children in need across the world.

Williams obtained bachelor's degree in business management as an international student from California State University Long Beach. While in College he was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, Honor Society and the Mentoring Business Program that honors students who excel academically. He was also Vice-President of the Information Systems Student Association and a member of the Black Business Student’s Association, American Marketing Association and student Representative for the Associated Business Student Association.

    - The steps to beginning a business from the ground up. Emphasis on how to balance the need to have money when you aren’t making any.
    - The Process of Starting Your T-Shirt or Clothing Line Today
    - It may take a lot of initial work as you start your own business, but with the right planning anyone can achieve their goals. This session will walk you through the steps to starting a retail business.

  4. “English as a Second Language”
    - This session explores William’s journey as an international student in America and the importance of cross cultural collaboration.
